Instructional Assistant - Lowell, Massachusetts

A nearby school is currently seeking two dedicated Teaching Assistants/Paraprofessionals on a contract basis. Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Teaching Assistant in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take direction, respond to teacher guidance, and work collaboratively within a team
• Comfortable supporting students individually or in small groups, with flexibility to adapt as needed
• Demonstrates patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to helping students thrive
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality and adhere to school policies

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities and lesson implementation
• Provide individualized or small-group support to students under the teacher’s direction
• Help maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment
• Assist with classroom management and monitor student behavior as needed
• Participate in classroom preparation, material organization, and recordkeeping
• Encourage student engagement and provide positive reinforcement
• Attend and participate in meetings or training sessions as assigned
