Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role, preferably with early elementary students
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in education or special education preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work hands-on with K-2 students, providing instructional and behavioral support as directed by the classroom teacher
  • Assist with classroom activities, small group instruction, and individualized support plans
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning atmosphere
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations when necessary
  • Support classroom management and facilitate student engagement throughout the school day
  • Supervise students during transitions, meals, and recess as needed

This school-based position follows the academic calendar, offering the chance to be a vital part of students’ formative years. The hours are 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., with your afternoons and evenings free to recharge or pursue personal interests.
