Instructional Aide - Machesney Park, IL

The position follows full-time hours, from 7:50 am to 3:10 pm, fostering a stable and collaborative school-day routine.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
• Understanding of early childhood learning needs, especially in K-2 settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with differentiated instruction, adapt to classroom needs, and follow teacher guidance
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• Preferred: experience working with students who have special needs or in instructional program classrooms

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in lesson preparation, classroom management, and daily instruction
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives
• Aid in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and breaks
• Support students in developing social and emotional skills
• Contribute to maintaining an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
