The role features an itinerant element, allowing you to work in various locations and develop a broad skill set while ensuring students receive the support they need throughout the district.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional, ideally in a school environment
• Understanding of student support needs, particularly with visual impairments, is highly valued
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and student requirements
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaborating closely with a TVI and staff
• Flexibility to be assigned to other roles or locations within the district as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the TVI in delivering specialized instruction and accommodations to students with visual impairments
• Facilitate learning activities and help implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Travel between schools or assignments within the district, responding to changing student support needs
• Aid in preparing classroom materials and modifying resources under the TVI’s guidance
• Provide encouragement, supervision, and consistent support to students to foster independence
