Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Active Paraprofessional Certification in Georgia required (successful completion of the Paraprofessional GACE and valid certification)
- Demonstrated experience working as a paraprofessional, ideally in a school setting
- Familiarity with supporting students with visual impairments is preferred, though not mandatory
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and a passion for helping students succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on classroom support to students and teachers as directed
- Assist with instructional activities designed for learners with visual impairments
- Aid in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate a supportive learning environment by reinforcing lessons and fostering independence
- Help supervise students during classroom transitions, activities, and break times
- Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals on campus
