Instructional Assistant - Macungie, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Meets Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements: Associate degree, at least 48 college credits, or passing score on an approved assessment (ParaPro, CDA, or PaTTAN credential)
• Ability to successfully complete all required clearances: PA Child Abuse, PA State Police Criminal History, FBI fingerprinting, and drug screening
• Willingness to complete 20 hours of job-related professional development annually
• Previous paraprofessional experience in educational settings, especially Pre-K, is highly valued
• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in multiple locations

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide daily instructional and behavioral support for Pre-K students alongside classroom teachers
• Assist in establishing a safe, nurturing environment for young learners
• Support educational programming and interventions according to student needs
• Help maintain classroom routines and transitions in varied settings
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and administration
• Continually adapt to new assignments as you float between school buildings (after initial placement)

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday assignment, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM, offering the chance to contribute to multiple school communities, build professional skills, and guide students during their formative years.
