A full-time paraprofessional position is available to support a whole-school behavior program focused primarily on grades K-4. This role serves as the "Behavioral Assistant" to the Behavior Coach and is essential in implementing behavior interventions and support strategies for students with diverse behavioral needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and execution of behavior plans for students with high needs
- Providing direct behavioral support to students across classrooms and school settings
- Collaborating closely with the Behavior Coach and teaching staff to promote a positive learning environment
- Documenting and reporting on student progress and behavior as directed
- Supporting the overall goals of the school’s behavior program to enhance student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors or high behavioral needs
- Previous paraprofessional experience preferably in an educational setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff and students
- Patience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to student success
