This meaningful contract opportunity spans from late August through late November, offering 32.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday) within a leading district. Multiple vacancies are available at several elementary schools; you’ll have the flexibility to select your preferred school site from a diverse list of locations, ensuring the experience best fits your interests and commute.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be highly qualified by one of the following prior to presentation:
- Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (official ParaPro or ParaEducator score report required)
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (official transcript must be submitted; diploma/degree is not sufficient)
- Previous paraprofessional or classroom support experience preferred
- Passion for helping elementary students develop academically, socially, and emotionally
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and staff
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on support in classrooms under the direction of certified teachers
- Assist students with both academic tasks and personal needs
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment for all learners
- Work closely with teachers and administrative staff to support individual education plans
- Model positive behavior and provide reinforcement to encourage student growth
