Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must fulfill Minnesota Highly Qualified Paraprofessional criteria prior to presentation for consideration:
- Option 1: Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
- Option 2: Hold at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas or degrees are not sufficient)
- Resume and proof of highly qualified status (test score or transcripts) are mandatory with application
- Experience working with K-12 students is highly valued
- Ability to build rapport with students and support individualized learning plans
- Professional, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working in a setting 4 program
Role Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction and implement activities tailored for diverse student needs
- Assist teachers and related staff by reinforcing behavioral, social, and academic goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students in the RTLC program
- Uphold the school’s policies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Track and report student progress as needed
This contract runs from September 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026, Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 2:45 pm. Notably, candidates will be considered for direct hire by the school district after 422 hours of successful contracting.
