1:1 Substitute Teacher's Aide | Marshfield, Missouri

You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, focusing on individualized instruction, encouraging social and emotional growth, and reinforcing positive behaviors—all while helping a student thrive in their foundational years.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Warm, patient, and passionate about working with young children
• Fluency in ASL preferred, in order to facilitate effective communication for a student with hearing or speech needs
• Strong interpersonal abilities; able to listen actively and communicate clearly with both students and teaching staff
• Prior experience in early childhood or special education settings, or providing behavioral support, is an asset
• Holds or is eligible for a Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate (preferred, not required)
• Dependable transportation and a record of punctuality

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, individualized 1:1 support for a Kindergarten student
• Utilize ASL daily to support communication and participation
• Engage closely with classroom teachers to adapt materials and activities to fit the student’s needs
• Encourage the student’s academic, social, and emotional development in a positive, nurturing atmosphere
• Participate in classroom routines and support group activities as needed
• Ability to sit or stand on the classroom floor for activities and interaction
