Instructional Assistant - Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

We’re seeking two committed Paraprofessionals to join a supportive educational environment assisting students in autistic support classrooms. This role is ideal for candidates based in Pittsburgh, Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, or nearby areas.

You’ll work full-time, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 5, 2026. Schedules are aligned with school hours and may vary slightly depending on assignment location.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar supportive role
• Prior work with students on the autism spectrum (preferred)
• Ability to assist with personal care, including possible toileting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependability and a positive, patient attitude

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and transitions for students with autism (K-1 or grades 3-5)
• Assist with lunch periods and provide coverage for fellow paraprofessionals as needed
• Facilitate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth under teacher guidance
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt approaches to meet student needs
