Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma (must provide a copy).
• Current, in-person CPR and first aid certification (virtual certificates not accepted).
• Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience in education, special education, or paraprofessional roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with students with autism.
• Collaborative approach to working with teachers, therapists, and other school staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with autism in elementary classrooms.
• Assist lead teachers with instructional activities and behavior management.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and organized classroom atmosphere.
• Support student participation, social engagement, and safety.
• Implement strategies individualized to students’ learning needs and IEP goals.
• Assist with classroom setup and material preparation.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times.
