This is a full-time contract opportunity, offering 32.5 hours per week as a paraprofessional working within a developmental classroom. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working with students in developmental classrooms
  • Ability to follow teacher-led instruction and individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Patient, flexible, and committed to helping students achieve their goals
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional related coursework or certifications a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assistance and instructional support to students in the classroom
  • Help implement lesson plans and adapt materials under teacher guidance
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment that supports student growth
  • Assist with classroom management and help maintain a safe, organized space
  • Offer one-on-one or small group support to students with varying needs
  • Assist with personal care or mobility as needed, depending on student requirements
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to track student progress and encourage independence
