Instructional Assistant - Mentor, Ohio

Position Highlights:

• Full-time contract positions (35 hours per week)
• Assignments primarily in preschool and elementary classrooms
• Opportunities to work closely with teachers in inclusive, collaborative educational environments
• Located near Mentor, OH

Requirements:

• ESEA Certification (active preferred, but candidates with pending status also considered)
• Experience working with young children or within a school setting preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents
• Patient, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude towards assisting children with diverse learning needs
• Ability to adapt to classroom routines and provide instructional and behavioral support under the supervision of certified staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom activities, individualized instruction, and behavior management
• Support students with special needs to help them achieve academic and personal goals
• Prepare and organize learning materials for classroom use
• Supervise students in educational and social settings, both individually and in small groups
• Foster a caring, positive, and safe learning environment for all students
