Instructional Aide in Methuen, MA

This full-time, contract-based opportunity is ideal for those passionate about supporting student success and working collaboratively with a dedicated team. With a 32.5-hour workweek, you’ll play a vital role across a range of settings, including one-on-one support and specialized programs.

Positions available include:

• 3 positions: One-on-one support (1:1)
• 1 Program Assistant for a substantially separate classroom
• 2 positions: One-on-one support (1:1)
• 5 Lower school program assistants
• 1 Upper school program assistant
• 1 Resource room program assistant
• 3 positions: One-on-one support (1:1) within a specialized behaviors program
• 7 CHOICES program roles (working with students with behavioral needs)
• 1 position for one-on-one support at the Tenney site

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and families
• Willingness to support students with a variety of needs, including behavioral and academic challenges
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance to students one-on-one and in group settings
• Support the implementation of individualized education plans and behavior management strategies
• Assist teachers with classroom organization and activities
• Encourage student engagement and positive classroom behavior
• Maintain confidentiality and support a respectful atmosphere for all
