Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar supportive education role
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse classroom environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or higher preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and assigned lesson plans
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students during classroom activities
- Reinforce learning concepts and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Assist with preparing learning materials and managing educational resources
- Support students with special needs, following individualized education plans as directed
- Monitor student engagement and behavior, promoting a safe and respectful environment
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional times
