Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar supportive education role
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse classroom environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or higher preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and assigned lesson plans
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students during classroom activities
  • Reinforce learning concepts and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and managing educational resources
  • Support students with special needs, following individualized education plans as directed
  • Monitor student engagement and behavior, promoting a safe and respectful environment
  • Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional times
