Desired Qualifications:

• Current registration with DEEDS (Delaware Educator Data System) is required
• Experience working as a paraprofessional, behavior specialist, or in a related support role, particularly with students requiring heightened behavioral and emotional assistance
• Genuine comfort and capability in working with students identified as "high needs"
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with teachers and support staff
• Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies and individualized support plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to middle school students during classroom activities and transitions
• Implement behavioral management techniques and interventions as directed by behavior specialists or educational staff
• Assist classroom teachers in modifying instructional materials for students with differing academic and behavioral needs
• Support data collection and progress monitoring to assist in developing and evaluating student plans
• Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment at all times
