Special Education Para Professional in Mill Valley, CA

Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a contract paraprofessional or instructional aide! Multiple full-time opportunities are available at several elementary schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. You’ll be an integral part of the classroom, helping students thrive in their learning environments, with assignments tailored to either Transitional Kindergarten–Kindergarten or 1st–5th grade age groups. Candidates must be comfortable assisting with toileting and diapering needs when required.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Willingness to complete required para training prior to placement
• Prior experience working with children in an education or care setting is highly valued
• Ability to provide gentle, age-appropriate support for toileting/diapering
• Positive, flexible attitude and dependable work ethic
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both teachers and students
• Reliability with full-time weekday hours, 6.5 hours per day

What You’ll Do:

• Support students’ academic and social growth under teacher supervision
• Assist with classroom routines and activities to promote an inclusive environment
• Provide individual attention and encouragement to students as needed
• Aid with transitions between activities, lunch, and recess as part of a team
• Ensure a safe, nurturing setting, including personal care when requested
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and contribute to a positive school community
