Classroom Assistant | Mill Valley, California

A fantastic opportunity awaits dedicated paraprofessionals and instructional aides for the upcoming academic year! Multiple full-time positions are available supporting general education classrooms across several vibrant elementary schools. This contract assignment spans from August 17th, 2026, through June 11th, 2027, with positions at a selection of elementary school campuses. Workdays are 6.5 hours each, totaling 32.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from either 7:45 am–2:45 pm or 8:00 am–3:00 pm, ensuring coverage before and after classroom instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in school settings
• Comfort supporting both transitional kindergarten through fifth grade students
• Willingness to assist students with toileting and diapering as needed
• Completion of required para training (or willingness to complete upon hire)
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Consistent punctuality and dependability

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide essential classroom support, reinforcing instruction and assisting with daily learning activities
• Offer one-on-one or small group help to students as directed by teachers
• Support positive classroom routines and student engagement
• Help with transitions, mealtime support, and personal care for younger students
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a nurturing learning atmosphere
