Paraprofessional Opportunities – Millbrae, CA (Contract Position)

Multiple openings are available for paraprofessionals to support students during the 2025-2026 school year. These roles are ideal for individuals with a passion for education and who have experience working in school settings. Positions are based in or near Millbrae, CA, with opportunities serving students in neighboring communities such as Hillsborough, Colma, Daly City, San Bruno, San Mateo, or surrounding areas.

Position Details:

  • Contract term: August 11, 2025 – May 29, 2026
  • 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Work hours: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM (includes a paid 10-minute break and 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (AA)
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable personal transportation to and from work
  • Residency within the San Mateo/San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay and South Bay residents are not eligible)
  • Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of school-based paraprofessional experience
  • Experience with student data collection and behavioral support preferred
  • Safety Care training is a valued asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students at a designated school site
  • Collect and document student data under direction of Behavior Supervisors or Special Education teachers
  • Maintain a calm, flexible, and professional approach when interacting with students, staff, and colleagues
  • Assist teaching specialists by promoting school readiness and pre-academic skills, and facilitating social interactions during recess and group activities
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability
