This full-time, contract paraprofessional position focuses on collaborating with a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a maternity leave coverage, delivering vital support to learners in a dynamic educational environment. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues until November 11, 2026, providing stability and the chance to build strong connections with staff and students alike.

Key Qualifications:

  • An associate’s degree or completion of at least 60 college credit hours is required.
  • Experience or familiarity working within a school setting as a paraprofessional is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to coordinate with educators, support staff, and students.
  • A compassionate, flexible, and adaptive approach, capable of supporting students’ unique needs under a virtual SLP’s guidance.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative work to foster student growth and learning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day academic and behavioral support to students as directed by the Virtual SLP and teaching teams.
  • Assist with the implementation of educational and therapeutic activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Document progress and challenges, maintaining clear communication with the SLP and education staff.
  • Foster a positive, respectful environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
  • Support transitions, classroom routines, and the integration of therapeutic recommendations within the school day.

Please note that placement in this role is contingent upon the successful hiring of a maternity leave SLP for the same coverage period.
