This contract role extends through the academic year and offers the chance to make a difference every single day.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or
  • An associate degree or higher, or
  • Passing score on a formal academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), or
  • Demonstrated competencies per the Minnesota Department of Education-approved grid
  • PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one (free and quick to complete)
  • Ability to provide proof of qualifications for interview consideration
  • Commitment to attend a mandatory orientation held Wednesdays at 1:30pm
  • Energetic, compassionate, and flexible, with a sincere interest in supporting students with special needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with supporting students’ educational and behavioral needs, especially within specialized “focus programs”
  • Collaborate with certified teachers in creating a safe, nurturing and academically enriching environment
  • Implement individualized education plans and modify activities as needed
  • Deliver one-on-one or small group guidance to help students achieve academic and social goals
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with school policies
