You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with educators, playing a key role in the student’s day-to-day experience and helping foster growth, independence, and belonging.

Key Qualifications:

  • One of the following:
    • Two years of college credits from an accredited institution
    • An associate degree or higher
    • Passing score on an approved academic assessment
    • Demonstrated competencies in the MDE-approved competency grid
  • Experience in educational settings, preferably with students who require behavioral or individualized support
  • Strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage or de-escalate challenging behaviors compassionately

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer dedicated 1:1 support for a student within the MAPD Program, including working through potential behavioral challenges
  • Assist in classroom activities, ensuring the student is actively engaged and included in lessons
  • Guide and supervise the student during transitions to classes and monitor during lunch periods
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment for all
  • Document and communicate observations or concerns per school guidelines

This assignment begins September 8, 2026, with hours from 7:15 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. In this role, you can expect compensation within the range of $20-$24 per hour, reflecting your skills and commitment to making a difference.
