Desired Qualifications:

• Must be recognized as a “highly qualified para”
• Meet at least one of the following:
  • Completed a minimum of two years of college credits (60 semester credits or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Hold an associate degree or higher
  • Successfully passed a formal Paraprofessional Assessment or completed a recognized Competency Grid (parapro test)
• Enthusiasm for supporting students with diverse needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support under the direction of certified educators
• Assist students with academic tasks, daily routines, and social interaction
• Adapt assistance based on individual student needs, strengths, and learning styles
