Para Professional in Minneapolis, MN

Three full-time paraprofessionals are needed to provide vital classroom assistance in a district near Minneapolis, MN. These contract positions offer the chance to positively impact young learners across grade levels and become an integral part of a collaborative, student-centered team.

Openings are currently available in the following settings:

• Elementary (K-5): 8:45 am – 3:45 pm
• High School (9-12): 7:45 am – 2:45 pm
• English Language (K-12): 8:45 am – 3:45 pm

Required Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred
• Commitment to supporting learners one-on-one or in small groups, especially those needing additional assistance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, patient demeanor
• Strong organizational habits and adaptability to shifting classroom needs
• High school diploma or GED (higher education or Paraprofessional certification is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and implementing lesson plans
• Support student engagement, positive behavior, and participation
• Provide focused help to students with diverse learning needs, including language learners
• Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and specials as needed
• Help with lesson preparation, material organization, and clerical tasks
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
