What we’re looking for:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or supporting students in school settings
• Ability to adapt quickly and float between high school classrooms and the transition program as needed
• Understanding of the unique needs of high school students and young adults transitioning to greater independence
• Strong communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude
• Collaboration with educators, related-service providers, and specialists is a plus

Your responsibilities will include:

• Directly supporting students in the classroom and within transition-focused environments
• Assisting with individualized instruction, facilitating social interactions, and help during community outings
• Working closely with teaching staff to ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress
• Flexibly responding to the changing needs of both programs throughout the school day
