Instructional Aide - Mobile, AL

Step into a pivotal facilitator role supporting K–5 students as they receive virtual speech therapy services within a vibrant and inclusive elementary setting. As the on-site paraprofessional, you'll play a crucial part in helping students succeed, working closely with remote speech-language pathologists and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care. This full-time contract opportunity offers immediate start and extends through the academic year, providing stability and the chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ daily experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting approximately 33 elementary-aged students during virtual speech therapy and related service sessions
• Acting as the on-site liaison between students and remote clinicians, ensuring clear communication and smooth sessions
• Proactively assisting students with technology, guiding them through connections and troubleshooting as needed
• Reporting and documenting session progress, and communicating pertinent information to the interdisciplinary team
• Quickly informing parties of any events or concerns that may arise, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
• Participating in training provided by VocoVision to become proficient in software and session facilitation techniques
• Working Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, at a single elementary site

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, teaching assistant, or similar role (in schools preferred)
• A genuine passion for supporting students with speech and communication needs
• Comfort and fluency with technology, including video conferencing tools, or a willingness to learn
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset
