This contract position offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one support to a pediatric student, working closely with a dedicated team of educators and related service providers. Your expertise as a paraprofessional will be instrumental in helping a student exhibiting extreme behaviors reach their fullest potential throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting as a paraprofessional
  • Demonstrated background supporting students with behavioral challenges and aggression
  • Ability and willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as needed
  • Strong commitment to reliability and consistency in daily attendance
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassion, patience, and resilience in high-energy environments
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative work alongside special education professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, one-on-one support to an elementary student with significant behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, behavior specialists, and therapists to reinforce intervention strategies and individual plans
  • Monitor student safety and facilitate engagement in daily activities, classroom routines, and transitions
  • Offer assistance with toileting and other personal care in a respectful, professional manner
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of progress and daily observations as required
  • Utilize proactive strategies to support regulation, positive behavior, and social participation

Position Details:

  • Full-time: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Contract duration: ASAP start through the end of the school year
