Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or in a related educational support role
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, especially when interacting with students, teachers, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and assist students with varying needs and abilities
• Collaborative approach to supporting teachers with classroom activities and individualized education plans
• High school diploma or equivalent; paraprofessional certification or associate degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to students one-on-one or in small groups, reinforcing lessons and activities
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and implementing education plans
• Support students with special needs by following individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods as required
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and during school activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, and communicate relevant observations to teaching staff
