You’ll make an impact in a close-knit elementary setting, assisting students from PreK through 6th grade with a variety of needs including other health impairments, autism, learning disabilities, hearing impairment, and more severe or profound cases. Your role will include working in the resource room and accompanying students in general education classrooms, with no toileting responsibilities expected.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Oklahoma Paraprofessional Certificate required (OK PARA cert)
- Experience in educational or special needs environments is beneficial
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere
- Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
Expected Responsibilities:
- Assist students with daily educational activities as directed by teaching staff
- Offer individualized and small group support in both resource and inclusive settings
- Help implement individualized education and behavioral plans
- Foster a supportive, welcoming environment for all students
- Communicate student progress and needs to teachers and support staff
