Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or educational assistant strongly preferred
• Familiarity with supporting students in special education settings, particularly those with hearing impairments or significant needs
• Comfort performing personal care tasks, including diapering, with compassion and respect for student dignity
• Ability to adapt to different classroom or site environments and work as part of a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills for engaging with educators, service providers, and students
• Reliable, flexible, and professional approach to daily assignments

Role Responsibilities

• Facilitate virtual Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) services as an itinerant support across multiple school sites (1 position, 32 hours/week)
• Provide classroom assistance in PreK Special Education, including personal care and diapering, supporting students’ learning and independence (2 positions, 37.5 hours/week each)
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to implement instructional and behavioral plans
• Assist with classroom management, set up learning materials, and help reinforce lessons
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
• Engage in regular communication with educational staff and document support activities
