Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL) and Paraprofessional Certification are required.
  • Prior experience working in a school setting, especially with elementary-aged students, is highly valued.
  • Comfort and professionalism handling toileting and personal care needs as necessary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrative staff.
  • Reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to students, reinforcing lessons under teacher direction.
  • Assist with classroom management, adapting to various learning needs and styles.
  • Offer hands-on support with daily classroom routines, including toileting and personal care for students who require assistance.
  • Document and report on student progress to help inform instructional planning.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning.

Role Details:

  • Contract position near Naperville, IL.
  • Elementary school caseload, with a weekly commitment of 32.5–35 hours.
