Instructional Assistant - Naugatuck, Connecticut

You will play a meaningful role supporting students with special needs, offering both 1:1 assistance and group classroom collaboration alongside lead teachers and supervisory staff.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver individualized and small group instructional support under the guidance of certified teachers
• Assist with the supervision and daily routines of special education students, in line with their Personalized Program Team (PPT) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) requirements
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success
• Provide support with everyday needs, which may include toileting and other tasks to promote student independence and dignity
• Help implement behavior management plans as directed by educational leadership
• Collaborate with school staff, sharing insights and updates to support student progress

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a directly related educational support role
• Paraprofessional certification or a minimum of an Associate’s degree (or at least 60 college credits)
• Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable individuals committed to student growth
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to assist with personal care if needed
