Instructional Assistant - Nevada City, California

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school support capacity preferred
• Ability to provide instructional and behavioral assistance to students with diverse needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude are essential
• Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed
• Must meet any applicable state or local requirements for school paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
• Provide individual or small group support to reinforce learning concepts
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment
• Support students with special needs or learning differences according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and report observations to educators
• Foster student independence and encourage participation in all aspects of the school day
