Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support setting is a plus
  • Ability to assist children with instructional activities and classroom management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping young learners succeed
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and diverse student abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in special education or related fields is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in daily classroom activities, including individual and small-group instruction
  • Assist with student supervision in various settings such as classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds
  • Help implement individual educational plans (IEPs) and accommodations as directed
  • Encourage positive behavior and model effective social skills for students
  • Provide instructional and clerical support to teachers and other educational team members
  • Monitor student progress and share observations with classroom teachers
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for every child
