Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support setting is a plus
- Ability to assist children with instructional activities and classroom management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping young learners succeed
- Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and diverse student abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in special education or related fields is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in daily classroom activities, including individual and small-group instruction
- Assist with student supervision in various settings such as classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds
- Help implement individual educational plans (IEPs) and accommodations as directed
- Encourage positive behavior and model effective social skills for students
- Provide instructional and clerical support to teachers and other educational team members
- Monitor student progress and share observations with classroom teachers
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for every child
