Instructional Assistant - New Britain, CT

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Successful completion of all state-mandated trainings
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting process
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established schedules
• Empathy, patience, and adaptability when working with students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 assistance to assigned students, ensuring a supportive educational experience
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and specialists to implement academic and behavioral goals
• Support classroom activities, helping to maintain a positive learning environment
• Assist students with daily routines and personal needs as appropriate
• Monitor and document student progress under the guidance of educational professionals
• Uphold school policies, confidentiality standards, and student safety procedures

• Contract period: October 26, 2026 – June 11, 2027
• Locations: Middle School (7:40 am – 2:30 pm), High School (7:20 am – 2:30 pm)
