Instructional Assistant - New Castle, DE

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must be current, not in process; if pending, please provide a DEEDS portal screenshot)
• Experience as a school-based paraprofessional, especially in elementary settings
• Availability for a full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day
• Commitment to professional standards and confidentiality in supporting young learners
• Willingness to obtain and pay for required $85 CBC fingerprinting
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated, direct adult support for students in daily classroom activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive, effective learning environment
• Assist with instructional tasks, classroom management, and emotional support
• Adapt to varying student needs and classroom dynamics as required
• Support implementation of individualized education and behavioral plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as requested
