This onsite role centers around providing dedicated assistance to one student, stepping into a full-year medical leave position at an elementary campus close to New Castle, DE. You'll play a vital part in nurturing academic and personal growth, fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere, and collaborating closely with teachers and staff through the end of the school year in June 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- DE Paraeducator Permit required and must be current; district will not accept permits in process. If pending approval, a screenshot of the DEEDS portal must be provided.
- Experience as a school-based paraprofessional, especially within elementary settings.
- Male candidates strongly preferred based on caseload needs.
- Willingness to pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting, as required.
- Must attach both DE para permit and resume as part of the application.
- If RBT certified, please note supervision must be maintained independently outside of school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support and monitor student progress throughout the school day.
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson implementation, behavior management, and adapting materials as needed.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for students.
- Support individual educational and behavioral goals.
- Collaborate with faculty and specialist staff to ensure consistent, quality assistance.
