Classroom Aide | New Kensington, Pennsylvania

Two openings are available for paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 school year, serving students in the Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, and surrounding Pittsburgh areas. These positions offer full-time, contract engagement starting as soon as possible through June 5, 2026. Hours are based on school schedules and specific locations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional experience, especially in school settings
• Familiarity or experience supporting students with autism
• Comfortable with duties involving toileting, classroom transitions, and lunch supervision
• Flexibility to provide occasional coverage for other paraprofessionals
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to student-centered support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to adapt to varying school hours or assignment needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in the direct support of students, including those in autistic support K-1 and 3-5 classrooms
• Aid students in daily routines, transitions between classes, and instruction
• Support with lunch periods, inclusive activities, and toileting as needed
• Step in to cover for other paraprofessionals when required
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
