Classroom Aide | New Kensington, Pennsylvania

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year! Two full-time Paraprofessionals are needed to provide essential classroom assistance in areas such as Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, and neighboring communities. These long-term contract roles run from your start date through June 5, 2026, with daily hours aligned to the assigned school’s schedule.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in the educational journey of young learners. One position focuses on K-1 students and the other supports grades 3–5, both within dedicated autistic support classrooms. As a key educational partner, your compassion and attentiveness will help foster a positive learning environment while empowering students to thrive.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, particularly in a school setting
• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with both teachers and students
• Background working with children on the autism spectrum is highly preferred
• Comfortable assisting with occasional toileting needs as well as supporting safe transitions between classroom activities
• Dependability and flexibility to support lunchtime duties or provide coverage in other classrooms as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students during classroom transitions and help with the daily routine
• Offer direct support to students in both large and small group settings
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with teachers and fellow support staff
• Assist with personal care where required and execute lunchroom duties
