Qualifications:

• Teacher Assistant candidates: Valid NY State Education Certification required (must submit verification)
• Teacher Aide candidates: No certification required, but an enthusiasm for working with students is a must
• Must submit a manager reference with your profile
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to upholding a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support under the direction of classroom teachers
• Assist with implementing lesson plans and supporting individual student needs
• Foster a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social development
• Assist with supervision during transitions, meals, and classroom activities

Role Specifics:

• Teacher Assistants: 36.25 hours/week (30-minute unpaid lunch daily)
• Teacher Aides: 32.5 hours/week (30-minute unpaid lunch daily)
• Contract length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
