Teacher's Aide - Newington, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a paraprofessional or behavior technician
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build positive rapport with students, teachers, and staff
• Experience supporting middle school-aged students preferred
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in student development
• Capable of following individualized education or behavior plans
• Reliable and committed to a full-time, 35-hour work week

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to assigned middle school students
• Assist students in classroom activities, transitions, and social interactions
• Help implement academic and behavioral strategies under the direction of certified staff
• Document student progress and share observations with the educational team
• Support inclusion by facilitating participation in classroom and school activities
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students to meet their goals
