Classroom Aide | Newport, New Hampshire

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Paraprofessional, supporting students during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role is based near Newport, NH, and runs from August 2026 through June 2027. As a key support for high school students, you’ll work closely with educators to enhance the educational experience and help create an inclusive, productive classroom environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Understanding of high school educational needs and challenges
• Ability to assist in both one-on-one and small group settings
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities
• Support students with varying instructional and behavioral needs throughout the school day
• Help manage classroom routines and provide supervision in different educational settings
• Offer encouragement and guidance to foster students’ academic and social growth
• Document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
• Maintain confidentiality and promote a positive, respectful atmosphere

This assignment offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with a weekly commitment of 32-37.5 hours, delivering structure and valuable hands-on experience throughout the academic year.
