Instructional Aide in Newport, NH

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working with children or young adults, ideally in an educational setting
• Previous paraprofessional experience or relevant background is strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and school staff
• Patient, adaptable, and eager to support diverse student needs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional behavior

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in daily classroom activities, lesson preparation, and implementing instructional plans
• Provide individual or small group support to students, including those with special needs or learning differences
• Help manage classroom behavior and encourage a positive learning environment
• Supervise students during non-classroom time, such as lunch, recess, or transitions
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback as needed
• Support a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture

This full-time, contract opportunity runs from September 2026 through June 2027, with weekly hours ranging from 32 to 37.5. Multiple vacancies are available at both the middle and high school levels in a collaborative, growth-focused setting.
