School Paraprofessional – Elementary & Middle/High School

Location: Putnam, CT
Pay: $19.44–$26.44 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 35 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support students in elementary and middle/high school settings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educational professional who enjoys working with students and collaborating with teachers and special education teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students throughout the school day
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and student needs
• Support students in general education and/or special education environments
• Help implement student accommodations and individualized support plans
• Promote positive behavior and a safe, inclusive classroom environment
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom organization
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with students and families

Qualifications

• Valid Paraprofessional Certificate required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Special education (SPED) experience preferred
• Experience supporting students with behavioral, academic, or developmental needs is a plus
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to supporting student success
