Make a direct impact by supporting a dedicated student in a Life Skills program throughout the academic year. This contract role provides the unique opportunity to work 1:1 with a high school student who thrives with consistent guidance and support. What we're seeking:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school or special education setting
• Comfortable assisting children or adolescents with autism and supporting behavioral needs
• Strong ability to maintain routines and manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
• Background in working with students who may be prone to elopement or require extra supervision to remain in classroom/building settings
• Effective communicator with students, teachers, and families
• Reliable and passionate about helping students reach their full potential

Your responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a student in a Life Skills program, focusing on engagement, routine, and positive behavior
• Maintain close supervision to help the student remain within classroom and school premises
• Work collaboratively with instructional staff to implement individualized strategies and support plans
• Encourage participation in classroom activities and reinforce appropriate behaviors
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teaching team

This full-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday, approximately 7:15am to 3:00pm, for 35 hours per week. The assignment begins August 21, 2026, and concludes June 4, 2027.
