Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desired
• Familiarity with classroom routines, academic interventions, and effective student engagement strategies
• Ability to assist with individualized instruction and offer support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with educators, students, and parents
• High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability within diverse learning environments
• Possession of required certifications or credentials for paraprofessional roles (as mandated by state guidelines)
• Comfort with following teacher-established plans and maintaining confidentiality in all situations

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with classroom teachers to reinforce lesson plans and activities
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students, helping meet IEP goals when applicable
• Assist with classroom management and supervise student interactions
• Support students with organization, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the school day
• Help facilitate a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere
• Track student progress and communicate observations to teachers
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture
