Teacher's Aide | Oak Forest, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact supporting students one-on-one in a welcoming school setting. We're seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to work with students in a contract position through the end of the school year. In this rewarding role, you’ll work full-time, Monday through Friday, supporting the social and emotional needs of a student in a school environment. The position includes 33.75 paid hours per week, with working hours from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm and an unpaid 30-minute lunch each day.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is preferred.
• Ability to work with students on a 1:1 basis across K-18 age ranges.
• Comfortable assisting with potential toileting and diapering needs.
• Strong understanding of social and emotional behaviors in students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, adaptable, and compassionate approach to daily responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; paraprofessional certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 support to a student, encouraging engagement and participation in classroom activities.
• Assist with social and emotional development needs throughout the school day.
• Help with personal care tasks, including toileting or diapering, as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement individualized support strategies.
• Support student independence while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
