Teacher's Aide - Oakland, California

Multiple full-time contract positions are open for Paraprofessionals or Instructional Aides across several elementary school sites. These roles are available beginning August 17th, 2026, through June 11th, 2027, offering a meaningful way to make a positive impact every school day.

Successful candidates will play an essential part in general education classrooms, either with Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten or 1st through 5th-grade students. Comfortable assisting children with toileting and diapering needs is important for these positions. You’ll be part of a team creating an inclusive, supportive environment in various elementary settings. Shifts run Monday through Friday, with schedules to help provide coverage before and after school.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working or volunteering with children in educational settings is preferred
• Willingness and capacity to assist with toileting or diapering as needed
• Ability to complete required paraprofessional training prior to starting
• Flexibility to work at different elementary schools as assigned
• Must be dependable and committed to the school year schedule
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in daily activities and instruction
• Help maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
• Participate actively in classroom management and play activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed
