Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or classroom assistant is helpful
  • Ability to effectively support students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and other staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in education or child development are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students in classrooms or small group settings
  • Assist the lead teacher with lesson preparation, instructional activities, and classroom organization
  • Support students in following classroom routines and expectations
  • Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans as directed
  • Monitor student progress, document observations, and report relevant information to teaching staff
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
