Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional is highly preferred
• Ability to provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to students of varying abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, students, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in working with children and adolescents
• Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions from certified teachers
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or completion of a paraprofessional certification program is a plus
• Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries in an educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction by reinforcing lessons and assisting individual students or small groups
• Assist with implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) under teacher direction
• Help manage classroom behavior and provide positive encouragement
• Prepare instructional materials and support teachers with daily classroom activities
• Supervise students during classroom, lunch, recess, or field trips as needed
• Support students with personal care tasks if required
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development relevant to the position
