Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional in schools (elementary, middle, or high school levels) preferred.
• Understanding of or direct experience with special education, including life skills, autism, or behavior support classrooms.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a collaborative team.
• Flexibility and commitment to supporting a variety of student needs.
• Relevant credentials or certifications as required by Kansas regulations for Paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with academic, social, and behavioral support for students.
• Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance in various classroom settings.
• Support students’ engagement and participation, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with special education staff and contribute to team meetings.
